With a recent altercation, I've decided to look into dash cam. Something not as quite as expensive as a GoPro. I came across one on this site www.dvryourcar.com Shipping was fast and their email response was fluid. Here’s some info about the unit.
Automatically turns on and off with ignition, or can be setup to be powered on all the time. The unit can be set to record only on motion detect mode so it will ONLY record when there’s movement. Great for hit and runs when the car is parked. It’s a 32gb class 10 memory card, I bought it from them so I don’t have to worry about the memory card conflicting with the unit. Records in full 720P with sound. Fixed mount so it’s pretty stable, I’m going to test it out next time I go to the track/autoX with this thing.
Here is the install done with DVRyourCAR’s custom harness. I didn’t see it on their site, but I emailed them prior to ordering, they actually have them. The custom harness was utilize to keep the one and only power outlet on the S available for other accessories. No cutting or splicing of the car’s original wiring. Can be completely removed in the future and no one will know it was ever installed. The dash cam turns on and off with ignition.
Vehicle Type: '08 Honda S2000 CR
Here’s the panel we need to remove.

Panels removed, grounded it to the 10mm bolt on hood latch.

A better view of the bolt on the hood latch and the fuse box. Harness was getting power from ACC in the fuse box.

Ran the power cable up the a pillar, across the headliner and dropped it down to connect to the DVR.

Here’s an idea of what the unit looks from outside. Pretty stealthy

Last but not least, I would like to thank for my friend Law for providing the installation. Check out the link below for more info about the unit
