Problems with new alarm installation
I just bought a Python 991 and I'm having several problems after the install.
- The antenna doesn't seem to pick up the signal sent out by the remotes. I've tried reprogramming the remotes but I think the problem lies within the antenna. Pressing the button on the antenna doesn't really do anything either.
- As soon as I hook up the brain, I'm getting constant input to the parking lights. Note that I inserted the 10a mini fuse into the brain for hte light flash polarity. if this fuse is not inserted, the parking lights do not come on. I have connected the parking light output wire to the red/black (+) wire in hte keyless entry module. Some tech sheets also note a parking light wire that is blue (-) in the headlight switch.
This is my second brain after exchanging my first one due to a variety of other problems. They also sent me the remote and antenna that came with this brain.
Here are my connections
1 - red/white - (-)200ma aux/trunk output - not connected
2 - red - (+) 12v constant input - white thick wire in ignition harness
3 - brown - (+) siren output - red wire on siren
4 - white/brown - parking light isolation wire - pin 87a of onboard relay - WHAT IS THIS?
5 - black - (-) chassis ground - drilled hole and bolted to chassis
6 - violet - (+) door trigger input - not connected
7 - blue - (-) trunk pin/instant trigger input - not connected
8 - green - (-) door trigger input - black/white wire on keyless entry module
9 - black/white - (-) 200ma dome light supervision output - not connected
10 - white/blue - (-) remote start/turbo timer activation input
11 - white - parking light output - red/black (+) wire in keyless entry module (not sure if i should connect this to the other parking light wire (-) at the headlight switch
12 - orange - (-) 500ma ground when armed output - not connected

nuber 11 parking light gets hooked up to your + parking light. Most DEI products are default + lights. theres a jumper on the alarm so check it if it is set to + or -.
White/Brown is not used and is only for euro cars that require a Left and a Right parking light isolation.
