Default Proof of any current US Alpine decks working w/ the KCE-865B controller?

Somebody must have tried the KCE-865B on a current Alpine deck. Or at least looked to see if any current decks have a jack for the KCE-865B to plug into. If so, which model? Lucid, have you heard any feedback from purchasers of the KCE-865B? Are they using US decks?

thanks,
gil

My customers are global so their means and needs are very different. Some US customers buy the decks when they are over in Europe and bring them home. As Keith pointed out the Higher end models of US decks support it. I believe the IVA-C801 would work though it won't just fit due to the screen.

See Alpine-europe.com and check for Steering wheel interface. Any model that supports it will fuction with this controller.

I was talking to someone at Alpine in Germany two weeks ago, and he said that US models generally don't work with the adapter. He made it almost sound like there are two companies who don't share much except for the name -- one US-based and one for Europe/Rest of World.

Anyway, I ordered myself the 7893R and the KCE-865B from a dealer in Hamburg when I was there last week. The stereos were back-ordered but should come in again next week or so; I'll have a friend pick it up and somehow get it over to me. Price was

Anyone know exactly what Alpine unit I should buy and bring home from Japan that will have the steering wheel interface, play mp3's, fit, and use a kce-865b adapter to keep the dash controls?

If not, does anyone know what European model is the equivalent Alpine 7894 unit sold in the U.S. .....which has a steering wheel interface and that plays mp3's, and fits etc?

7893R is the answer. Which I am holding in my hands as we speak. Which will be installed along with the KCE-865B adapter on Saturday.

Stay tuned.
