Sup,
I had one of those in my Hatchback. I think they call them Motion Sensors and there small little boxes. I had mine hidden good but they can be a problem. If you have it adjusted to sensitive it will go off for anything like rain or thunder. There a good idea and i dont think there alot extra if you install it with the alarm itself. Its been a while since i have gotten an alarm so stuff might of changed since than but thats a little info that i know peace.

proximity sensors FTW!!

But he's right. If it's set too sensitive, it will drive you nuts.

Have one on my car and I love it. Keeps the pests and prying eyes away from my car. Only problem I had with it was when I parked too close to a curb. Get a custom switch installed so you can turn off the proximity sensor when you want.

My friends that had them were constantly getting paged. After a while, all it did was cry wolf and they didn't even pay attention to it anymore. Worthless, in my opinion, but if you don't have a garage...well, it's better than nothing.

You could also get a hardtop.

Even with the soft top, it's hard to steal much without opening the doors. So a standard alarm does help. Someone might steal your sunglasses without opening the door, but they aren't going to get the seats or stearing wheel.

I bought the MUZ driver side mirror, and tried to change it without turning off the Honda Alarm system. I didn't open the door or anything, just pulled on the mirror a few times and the alarm went off.

redruM - There have been several cases with people's seats getting stolen even with the OEM alarm. The alarm itself can be defeated very easily. Even a state-of-the-art alarm won't stop thieves from stealing your car from under your nose.

The next S I get, all I'm having installed is a little red blinking-LED light on the dash.
