hey guys, I have a Pioneer HU but will be running my speakers off of an external amp. Do I still need a direct power source for the internal amp in the HU? even if I'm not even using it?

If so what gauge wire should i be running and should I just butt it with the 4 guage for my amp in my battery terminal??? Thanks in advance.

 

You dont need direct power. By direct power, I mean from HU directly to battery. Just wire it up to the honda harness.
