Default Quite a bit of rattling...

Ever since I installed my system, I've been having quite a bit of rattling coming from the doors. I'm not sure if this is normal when running below 80hz to door speakers, or if it's my crossovers moving around. I installed them by covering the entire back with "permanent" 2-sided foam tape and sticking it to the metal of the outer door, just under the window. They seemed very solid (JBL x-overs only weigh about 10-12oz), but now I'm wondering.

I plan on dynomating the doors this weekend. I'm also going to check how secure the x-overs are after a week of use. If they are loose, is there a better way to install them in the doors, or should I just move them under the dash?

If you were willing to re-run the speaker cables, you could do like I did. I mounted my x-overs in the trunk & ran 4-conductor wire to the doors. That way no rattle & no risk of having damage to them if the door decided to not stay 100% waterproof (just think about how much water drains thru the bottom of the door with each car wash you do).

Those x-overs are safer inside the car itself.
