Default Radar Detectors?

I was wondering from the past experiences you (pl.) have had with your radar detector and what the best kind to get is...

Definitely Passport - it has never failed me . Also learn the tricks for driving fast. Learn to use traffic ahead to filter out instant on laser . If your going fast always make sure there are cars up ahead going fast or slow to draw out the cop. If no traffic for along distance ahead take it easy .

they dont work .. lol.. since the radar detector lets u know ONLY when a cop has his radar gun pointed at u and is ON.. by then they have ur speed. so wats the point.. its somewhat gewd in traffic since hes alreayd have it ON and checking other cars.. but if ur by yourself.. its useless. unless someone know more about radar dectectors den i do..

Valentine 1 all the way! I have 2 of them, but if FL passes a law against them this year then I'll be selling them cheap.

first of all... pl. for "you" is.. "ya'll" ...

I hate to even be on the road without one.. almost feel I'm unarmed against an armed opponent.. and I am..

I just use a good whistler... works excellent for me.. saves me constantly... "knock on wood" .. different sounds for differnt bands.. cool

was driving to work just the other day, got a ka beep, came off the gas while a big ol' SUV went flying by, "saying to my self, so long sucker" we both then got caught a red light, me at his six, cop pulled out from a parking lot behind me, green light, cop lights on, i pull right from left lane, cop turns lights off.. cop moves up, lights on.. cop scores a kill on the SUV..

it's almost an art in how to use them.. if you are the lone ranger out there, chances are you'll be dead duck.. learn the techniques for using one and it can save you .. most of the time I'm within tolerances of the limit anyay, 8-9 over so it doesn't matter, but when you feel like pushing the envelope, it's nice to have one on board..
