Default Radar Jammers

Has anybody had an experience with radar Jammers -- I know speeding is bad...blah blah - but I am not going to change the way I drive. Does anybody have brand recommendations? Any brands to stay away from? Stories? I appreciate everyone's input.

I just got a ticket in my area for doing 26 miles an hour over the speed limit a $300 ticket. I am not happy about it and the cop was a d*ck which didn't help. This is the first and hopefully last ticket I receive in my s2k. Does anybody have brand recommendations? Any brands to stay away from? Stories? I appreciate everyone's input.

I believe radar jammers are illegal here in the States, however laser jammers are only illegal in some states. Laser jammers work great and buy you enough time to slow down, shut down the jammer, and let the office take a reading at a reasonable speed. I recommend checking out a forums dedicated to detectors and jammers. Here's a link that might be helpful...

Nope. They're illegal and under the jurisdiction of the FCC (i.e. you don't want to mess with them).

If you're going to hit an S2000 site for info on the S2000 it would seem to make sense to hit a countermeasures site for info on countermeasures. Blind recommendations aren't worth much no matter what the topic. Research, read up and find what suits your needs/wants/budget/etc.

If you're not willing to change the way you drive then don't count on a device to save you from speeding tickets. You will have to change the way you drive even if you decide to use countermeasures. They're not a set-and-forget sort of thing. If you want that sort of convenience then cruise control is your best bet.

As with any topic -- depends on the specific option. They're not all identical and they don't all perform identically. Cars aren't identical and a poor install can make them fairly useless. Failure to use them properly can also make them useless. An officer doesn't have to get a reading on a laser (or radar) device to ticket you.

OP needs to read up and be willing to learn and change habits to use any such devices. Merely buying and installing the "best" equipment isn't going to prevent tickets.

Thanks for the input. I did have a chance to do some reseach and it looks like everything you say is correct. Laser jammers are fine but they are expensive and I have never gotten pulled over with a laser. all of my tickets are generally speeding in a 25miles an hour zone - which I believe to be completely unfair. At that point an officer is not pulling you over because you are a safety hazard but rather because they need to meet a quota. Not that any of that is relevant because there is nothing I can do about it.
