Thumbs up Radio cutting out when I raise the windows...

I did a search but couldnt find any info...

I had a new head unit and speakers installed a year ago, and suddenly the radio stopped working. It would start working again after I pulled the radio fuse and reset it in place. EDIT - Seems like I need to remove the faceplate and reset that as well.

After this occured a few tmes I realized this was happening when I raised both windows at the same time, and only then. It doesnt happen every time but only seems to happen when I raise both windows.

I looked at the radio fuse, the accessory fuse, and window fuse, they all look OK.

Any suggestions?

it is possible that the wires for your speakers are caught and causing a short when the window moves. could be only one window with a short and not both.

take it back to your installer to have it fixed.

My money's on a self-install. So, the car's already back at the installer's. Maybe you could take the car over to John's shop so he can have a look?
