Here's the story i have after market speakers on the front and back, also stock radio, i went to my mechanic to fix the loose 12v, anyways when he put it back the radio was on but no sound so we took out the speakers and they were touching the chassis, fixed it... Then out of nowhere it stopped again no sound but the radio is still on, now it happened yesterday, the radio doesn't turn on, but the little alarm red light is on, i've checked the fuse under the driver side it was good, any ideas here would be appreciated.

 

It sounds like there may be another short in your system somewhere else. You can confirm this by pulling the radio and bench testing it with a 12V source.

 

also note there are two fuses for the headunit - #9 and #22
