Default Radio Problem

My radio/CD player stopped working and the anti-theft light keeps blinking. There is no display, codes or anything...any ideas?

check the fuse for the power accessory outlet. i had a similar experience and that fuse was the culprit. the fuse is somehow tied to the radio.

Actually, the audio system on this car runs through 3 separate fuses.

What THREE fuses does our radio run off?

I've checked the 10 and 15 ACC and Radio fuses and they are not blown - but my radio still doesn't work (No mute light even - though the 'Anti-Theft' light still works and it still spits out/accepts CDs)

Thanks for any insight into the elusive 3rd fuse...!

Have you recently disconnected the battery? If so then the unit has reset and is looking for an authentication code. The AP1 radios have an anti-theft system which requires you re-enter the code whenever the unit loses power (i.e. is stolen).

If that's not it then I have no idea......

You may need to unlock the radio unit. Code came with your vehicle manuals or you can retrieve at your dealer with your VIN, provided your radio is original.

Also, look for a sticker in your glove box, or secret compartment. Mine was on the inside of the lid

If all wires are connected including the antannea, I think your going to either have to fix or replace the radio. A long shot might be the antenna. My question is- Does this radio power-up regardless of weather a radio signal is detected? If not, maybe a bad antenna?

on an AP1,
fuses 9 & 22 are for the "audio unit" and #23 is for the "audio unit light"
