radio problems
after i installed my turbo kit i had to relocate the battery. so it was unplugged a few days. when i got it put back together the car started fine, the radio had power, but was asking for a code. i tried a bunch of random numbers but nothing worked. has anyone heard of this before? any help would be great thanks,

This is just a guess, but I'm guessing you purchased the car used...
So I'm guessing you dont have the manual that came with the car when it was new... so you'll have to take the car to the local dealer to get the code. You can call the dealer butmost times they won't give it out over the phone.
You might need to remove the HU from the car and get the serial number of the HU as well.

I used this to retrieve my radio code. There are directions as to go about doing this. If i remember correctly, to get your radio code without pulling it out, you hold down 1&6 and then like a letter and 4 numbers follow that, and then another set of one letter and 4 numbers.
Ex: Q0000 W0000
I think that's how you get it, i found online in a forum how to get it but i don't remember, as it was awhile back.
But yeah, that's how i got it, and i would recommend registering for Honda Owner link, it's very helpful, and that's where I keep my radio code.
Hope it helps

yes i did buy the car used. and the dealship didnt give me the owners manual. i also tried that website, but i have only had the car for a short time, so it is still under the previous owners info (phone number and zip). hopefully the dealership can help me out......
hmm...since that website didn't work. You can try calling honda of america or something? the main office or main help line. Call your dealer and ask them if there's a number you can call to get further help. I don't remember the number, sorry.
Whoever picks up with walk you through step-by-step on what to do and you'll get your radio up. I remember i only had the car for a day and realized the radio didn't work (wasn't driving it the first week) and i gave them all the info. The name was still under the previous owner, but then they changed all the info for me and gave me the radio code.
I called my local dealer to give me the number to the main Honda helpline or whatever it was.

Changing the HU will fix it. But whatever dealership sold the new car should keep a record of the secret code for your radio. I went through the same issue with my Integra GSR and the original dealership sorted me out for free.
