Default Radio Upgrade Questions

I'm thinking about replacing the stock unit on my 2007 S2000 with a JVC Arsenal KD-A815, and I have a few questions.

1. Dash Controls - I know that ModiFry has an excellent adapter, but has anyone tried the one from Axxess?

2. Is there enough room behind the head unit to install the dash control unit and an amplifier (9W x 2H x 8L)?

3. What is the power rating of the stock unit? The top is usually down, and I'd like a little more volume. The JVC has 20 watts per channel RMS. 20 watts will probably be enough if the stock unit is 10 watts or less.

Thanks.

Axxess appears to be just a reseller of PAC steering wheel controls. search the
forum for "pac" for more info.
here is search from 2008-present

There's not much room behind the HU. Just tucking wires can be tricky. Modifry's DCI could probably fit there (it's tiny) but mine is in the mesh pocket on the passenger side.

I hate to thread jack, but I wanted to know if you got this head unit installed on your S yet? I'm reading the notes on Crutchfield and it states the factory OEM face plate/radio cover won't be able to close if the HU has a flip down or protudes. Is this true for the KD-A815 model?

The features are spot on, but I'd like to hide it... guess it's just an aesthetic hiccup.

It is a close fit. The HU does not prevent the cover from closing. However, if you close the cover with quickly, it can turn to unit off because the cover hits the volume knob. Once you know this, it isn't a problem.
