Just wondering if anyone knew the purpose of this white harness that plugs into the back of the head unit. I installed my Alpine IDA-x305 last night and everything was a breeze, but it struck my curiousity since this harness was not attached to the new HU... what is this harness used for?

Pretty sure that one goes to the CD changer cable / Aux Input.

 

It keeps the car from bursting into flames. That or what Lane said. Def one of those 2.
