the longer the wire the worse it is for the system... the shorter the better... less chance of engine noise... and better soundquality...

NFRs2k83 I totally agree....thats Why I want someone that actully to my install route to tell me if 12ft will work or not....the next step up is 17ft, that is a 5ft jump...

Good quality RCAs are going to barely be affected by 5ft length. The signal loss is negligible considering this is a convertible. It's definitely less loss than you'll have if the RCAs are too short and you have to use a female-female RCA splice to add length...

Well i ordered the 17foot RCA. When I do my install in 1 months time, I am going to take lots of pictures and I will let people know exactly what length they need.

sorry to hijack the thread but what's a decent priced RCA cable?

I am looking at a set of 250 series monster cable(HU to amp, about 5 feet)
about 20-25bucks

I dont buy monster cables... personal choice. I was useing descent brand of RCAs in one of my previous cars. The subs sounded good. I replaced them with a set of stinger rca's... Best cash i have ever spent. The subs were 100x cleaner and louder.

So I only buy stinger rca's.
