Default Run Sat antenna to the trunk

I recently installed an aftermarket radio equipped with a Sirius receiver. I'm now looking into running the sat antenna to the trunk in order to position it on the booth. Does anyone have any recommendation where to run the wires through? I also installed headrest speakers into my AP2 2004 and I'm familiar how the cables run to the seats. I just haven't figured a good way to get the wires into the trunk with the least effort necessary. Can anyone describe where it's easiest to run the wires through?

Thanks!

i'd run it down the passenger side under the door sill and feed it through the panels to the trunk through the spare tire gap...

I need to relocate my XM antenna. When I installed it (over a year ago), I "temporarily" stuck the antenna by the wind deflector. Works great around town picking up the terrestrial repeaters, but I start losing signal when I get away from populated areas. No ground plane = weak satellite reception.

Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove the panels behind the seats?

Do all of you with the dash mounted and secret compartment setups get good reception? I've got mine mounted on the dash right in the center at the base of the glass and the reception is mediocre. It's a cheap eBay antenna so I'm not sure if that's the cause of the problem.

A ground plane is important for any antenna. I have a small square that I mounted in the middle of the dash in the middle of the defroster vents. My reception has been pretty good, and that was with metallic window film on the windshield. I have removed the tint, so I think the reception will get better.
