Default Remote Fob

hey guys

so the module I have is G8D-452H-B, just like all the modules on sale on eBay

the FCC written on it is E4EG8DK. All the remotes for sale on eBay are E4EG8DJ

so only the last letter is different. will a remote with FCC E4EG8DJ work on a module with FCC E4EG8DK?

thanks

My keys are at the other house but my buddy's '02 used the same remote part number as my '06. Ebay. Maybe forty bucks. Easy, if tedious, to program to the car.

Sorry, misread your original post. From Omron's site:

FCC ID E4EG8DK = Application: Auto Security Receiver {aka: in-dash unit}

https://fccid.io/E4EG8DK

And FCC ID E4EG8DJ = Application: Automobile Security Transmitter {aka: key fob}

https://fccid.io/E4EG8DJ

They work on same frequency (307.9mHz). My WAG is they are matching pairs. I guess you could call a dealer and find the factory Honda part numbers. See if those match.

Good luck!

Were you able to program the fob to work with the receiver unit you bought?

Thanks!
