Remote wire help
Ok so I took out my subs and everything outa my old car when it was scrapped. Finally got around to buying a new box seeing as the dual large box wa way to big for the Honda. I went off to install everything myself instead of the 120 stereo west would charge. Got everything hooked up nice and neat were it should be. But I ran into a roadblock and eventually gave up due to it getting late.
Well after watching tons of vids I should be able to simply plug the remote wire into the corisponding plug behind the head unit. Couldn't find it so after looking at more vids tried using a meter to see which wire it is. With the car on only 2 of the 12 plugs on the harness had 12v, with the car off 1 of those 2 had 12v. Shouldn't they all show 12v when cars on though? That threw me off. Also how would I exactly tap into which ever wire it is? I'm not too hot at electronic junk lol help, comment suggestions?

There is a wiring chart for the OEM connector about halfway down this (old) page http://users.rcn.com/dhintz/Michelle/Audio/audio.html that states the remote wire is a yellow/green wire located in the corner of the connector.
FYI - I wired up my amp to that yellow/green wire yesterday and it only gave my amp power when in AM/FM mode, and not in CD mode. So I switched the signal to the white/red +12 power wire next to it. The amp stays on even when the radio is off this way. Not a big deal for me, but it might be for you.
