Default Removing car alarm

I looked this up on google but im unsure of how safe/easy it is. Anybody have experience with removing aftermarket alarm on the car? I have a autopage alarm with autostart but the brain died so i just want to take everything out and go back to factory keyless entry. Should i just take the car to a alarm place? how much would they charge?

Find the brain and start chasing wires. Its very tedious work. I am in the process of doing the same thing.

Did you check on ebay to see if you can find a replacement brain?

i thought about it but i find no real use for an aftermarket alarm. This was installed by the previous owner. Just mostly interested in the keyless entry.

Keep it. Just get the brain swapped out. Why would you not want and aftermarket alarm and remote start? The aftermarket alarm will notify you weather someone hit your car or not. Mine will alert me when some pulls the door handle and it slaps backs.

You also save more gas autostarting the car, hence taking off while the motor is warm verus taking off then the car is cold.

If you want to remove it, it should only cost you min 1 hour of labor what ever 12volt shop you take it too.

My opinion is to keep it and get it working.
FYI: Pulling the alarm will only take me 30 minutes. very easy. (if your an installer)

does the auto start bypass the clutch? I noticed i don't have to step on the clutch anymore to start my car.
