Removing Pin from Electrical Connector
I am needing to remove a pin/wire from an electrical connector rather than cutting the wire itself. Is there a special tool for this?
Thanks!
Thanks!
No special tool needed. If you look at the connector there are slots where you can use a small flathead screwdriver to de-pin it.
Take a look at this site, the author briefly shows how to de-pin wires for its connector.
Hope that helps.

In that case, you can use a small screwdriver or a pick to go from the front or the back of the plug. Hard to explain without a picture. If there are multiple openings from the front, for example, usually you can insert something small into the hole to loosen the pin. What you want to do is disconnect the clip of the pin where it sits.
