Well, the Power Acoustik 6.5" wasn't even close to fitting (Thanks a lot bestbuy.com for saying it fit). So, I picked up a new single OEM woofer for $53 shipped and all is back to normal.

THe fit guide @ best buy.com sucks. THe fit guide at crutchfield.com has been 100% dead on for all the cars i've bought it for. (i just replaced my front speakers with kenwood 2ways and it fit perfectly, not even a need to cut the baskets)
