Default Replacing the OEM Stereo trim question

I am replacing the stock CD player in my 2005 Honda S2000. When i pull the trim piece back do the 2 air vents directly above the flip down door come out with it as one piece. The bottom tabs and sides have let loose but the top is not coming out. Just want to check before i start pulling with a bit more strength. Thanks

Yes they do. I wouldn't pull too hard in the event that you break a tab. Use a trim removal piece of sorts

Thanks, i see now. That top portion is in there tough as nails. I will tape off and lift out from the vents then slide it back. I am not replacing and of the original trim or anything, just a stereo swap so i don't need to pull the door off. thanks again.

Yeah, I know it was part of the door removal diy. I didn't have a trim removal piece so I taped off a vent blade and used a needle nose plier to pluck it out. After the first time its a little easier to get the trim piece out. I've gone through 3 decks and removing the trim piece a good 15-20 times to rewire my sound system
