I know this has probably been discussed, but search has been down for the last couple days...
I was just hoping to get some info from anyone who had purchased the rollbar speaker mounts off of ebay

i actually bought those exact ones.
heres my review: 1. they fit ok. the two panels attach to one another via zip tie and they just pinch themselves around the roll bar. becareful how much you pull on each ziptie as that affects the angle a which the speaker mount rests. you will understand once you overtighten one of em.
i used the factory wires for the roll bar speakers and running the wires was really easy. i just ran it under the center console carpet up through the rear vented panels and into the speaker housing. not hard. looks ok. youd never notice it cause i scoot my seat all the way back when i get out.
for 75 ish bucks its not bad

as far as the wiring, it's a little more complicated for an '01 than an '04
because, while the headunit has rear channels, the harness that connects
to it doesn't have the pins and wires for the rear speakers (when Honda
added rollhoop speakers as a factory accessory in '03-ish they added wires
to the car's harness). You can add the appropriate wires to the factory
harness connector by moving them from an another harness like an
aftermarket adapter harness. Honda apparently made a kit for this
purpose, which included four wires attached to four pins to be inserted into
the appropriate spots in the connector, but I've never found an actual part
number. A good parts person at a Honda dealer might be able to track it
down for you.

Thanks for the responses!
Turns out my install should be rather simple, I went over the wiring the previous owner did when he upgraded the system and I will be able to drop the wires straight back to the amp in the trunk... I'll be doing a Modifry DCI and a new head unit at the same time, it should be good.
