Hi, I thinking about buying this new headunit coming out on the 23rd.

Its called the parrot rk8200.

completely digital, no cd. it has bluetooth built-in, usb, 1gb built in storage, ipod, and sd card slot.

main thing as i'm looking is thatthe big central knob looks like it might not fit or something.

anyone know if this will fit?

it will be close. That knob is GIGANTIC! lol

All you really need to do if ti doesnt fit is drill some holes further back on the OEM brackets. That way the radio can sit deeper into the dash.

 

Get an AP2 radio door for starters, it is thinner.

It will not fit unless you seriously recess the head unit. From the middle of the faceplate, you have about 3/4cm to the radio door when the the radio door is pressed in to latch/unlatch. That knob looks like it's at least 2cm tall.

 

ok. im still looking at different headunits. from what ive just read, i think the whole faceplate sticks out also which would end up being pretty far including the knob.

if i could get a sweet deal on a xda x001 thatd be nice!
