Default RSX Sub in S2000

Hey all, I've read through some of the threads on installing an RSX Type-S Bose subwoofer in an S2000, but I'm not 100% sure how to make it work. I have a Kenwood KDC-BT955HD HU on order, and am looking to install Pioneer TS-A1605C component speakers (or similar) in addition to the oft-recommended Alpine KTP 445U (4x45W) amplifier. I can't find any info on the resistance or power rating of the Bose sub but my understanding is it is very low power - will it work with the KTP 445U bridged, or should I be looking at another amp? Is there one amp that can power my door speakers and the sub? Or can I just run the sub straight from my HU?

The RSX sub is pretty pathetic. I wouldn't bother.

I had an RSX-S before (2) and I didn't see an amp for the sub other than the HU (there might have been one in the enclosure though). Don't have any information on the schematics though.

the rsx sub has an amp in the enclosure

you could replace the 6.5" 'sub' with something else and use a better amp, like other people have done:

having said that, I'd highly recommend a passenger footwell sub or a darkside trunk sub (that goes on the side of the trunk)
