Hey Guys, sorry this is so late in posting. Here's our 5 1/4" Alpine Type R components, mounted in Mark's S-Pods. Huge difference in the sound quality and ability to hear your stereo with top down at speed.
We highly recommend this mod.

Thanks Again Mark!

No, THANK YOU guys! I recently installed Crystal components rated similar to your Alpines...we'll have to compare one of these days.

How hard is it to mount the Tweeters? And what are they mounted to?

The tweeters are surface mounted with two way mounting tape to the roll hoop that lies beneath the s-pod. As a side bonus, the surface is perfectly angled and directs the tweeter directly toward your head.

You'll have to ask Marks2002 about the difficulty of the installation, as he provided the install at Sac2KDays. However, to my eye, it appeared to be quite easy.

Thanks Glen,

I don't even have to monitor my own thread anymore! I will hopefully have my system complete in time for Blairs next party, and we can have a sound off. Alpines vs Crystals...I'll be happy if mine even comes close.

Hey Mark,

You'll have to compare them with Theresa! Unfortunately I will be leaving for a two week business trip to Japan on 9/19, so I will miss all of the fun at Tiki Lagoon!
