S-Pod Info (Consolidated Information)
Yeah if you are THAT concerned about soundstage PJK suggested wiring the rear speakers in mono. That way they play the same thing as each other, and then the fronts will offer the stereo experience. Frankly adjusting the balance and fade made it sound fine for me.
My passengers might have soundstage issues, but they mostly seem to be holding on to the door handle with their eyes closed while praying quietly. I doubt most would notice a modified sounstage from the stereo.

Might be the glare of the flash used, but the rear inserts on Blair's car look almost blue.
Here is a pic of mine from the rear:
No offense but I really don't like the idea of one speaker behind my head. What about imaging??? You are only getting the left or right channel of the music. That's half the sound! Music is made to be in stereo.
I'm lucky to have a couple audiophiles as customers who are addressing these issues better than I could ever hope to. If you could actually hear these compared to speakers mounted behind the seats, you'ld be sold...at least that they sound good, maybe literally too.
here is an off the wall question.
Xviper did some tests about reducing cabin turbulence. one of the better results was with plugging the very holes that s-pods occupy
do you find that cabin turbulence is improved?
just reducing turbulence would improve the top down sound.....
after all, don't want to drown out
