S-Pods are a rear speaker mounting system which allow you to install 5.25 speakers of your choice. Choosing quality aftermarket speakers gives much better sound than either of the factory options. Oh btw, I LOVE mine, I just don't listen to the system that much because I LOVE the vtec music more

 

Most people do choose components, I think they sound much better.
