nice system NFRs2000NYC much better than the first

question.. as NFRs2000NYC sub in the trunk for example.. what kind of "protection" can be used to guard the sub.. so things can be placed in the trunk, without having to worry abount damaging or puncturing(sp) the sub?

This was my first serious stereo install in approx. 5 years, at that time I did it professionally.

HU: Alpine CDA-9833 with Peripheral SWIX for dash controls (everyone has seen 2many Alpine HU pics)

Front stage: Alpine SPX-177R 6 1/2 Type-X components in factory locations (added factory tweeter pods since my S2K is MY00) The best Alpine components I have ever heard!!!
Rear stage: None
Subwoofer: Alpine SWR-1242D 12" Type-R subwoofer in custom sealed box with molded top
Entire trunk is recovered in black tweed. Custom amplifier rack that spans rear trunk wall, then amps are mounted on 1/4" plexi at floating angle and backlit by red neon.
Component amplifier: Alpine MRV-T320
Subwoofer amplifier: Alpine MRV-M500

System will probably not stay long, since the shop I have started freelance work at now has JL Audio and I've seen too many threads regarding in-cabin subwoofers!!!

Would love to insert pics, but I'm not sure how. Can someone help me out?
Thanks,
exelonman

Thanks so much! The amp is located where the tool area is, and powers all of my speakers, as it is a 5-channel amp. The bass is more than sufficient for me, very tight and clean. Top down, sounds great!

Hey guys let me know what you think of this install. I tell you that the W7 is the best sub ever made. The sound is so deep and so clean. Also you will notice that I vented the trunk into the cabin made a HUGE DIFFERENCE.

No I didn't install it myself I had Tweeter in Escondido do it. The vent actually really works well it is just a mesh covering and nothing behind it so the air flow comes right through and if you look behind the drivers seat and the passengers seat there are two vents and the air moves all the way to the vents. I also took out the spare tire seeing as how it is not neccesary because I have no spare tools and that made a difference for bass as well.
