Default S2000 CLock

I hate not having a clock! Most of you probably agree with me (some may not). The new 01 s2000s come with a stereo that has a clock. Think it would be possible to replace the old stereo with the new one that has the clock? I'm thinking it would be mighty expensive $$$.

I am sure there are lots of people who have replaced the stock 01 radio which is now sitting in some garage or attick collecting dust. Not me though. Good Luck

Try http://www.brookstone.com/shop/product.asp?sku=218917 -- use velcro to mount it on the audio door and it works just fine. If you stay towards the top of that door, the door will open all the way without obstruction. Has a button on top to turn on the back light.

If you're going to switch the head unit for a clock, you may as well upgrade the head unit and speakers. It's a pretty simple job. l did it this past weekend, and I've never installed a stereo before.

I agree that swapping out the head for a clock is a very half way measure. The display on the S2000's head is not easy to read.

When I shopped for a replacement head, I paid attention to the clock display and chose one I liked. I got the Alpine CDA-7876 and really like it.

Whatever you do don't pay good money on a stock head. Please buy a clock to stick somewhere in your cockpit, wear a watch, or bring a girlfriend/wife to tell you the time. Anything but paying good money on a oem head unit.
