Thanks. I've gotten the bottom clips released (presumably without breaking), but the vents will not release, no matter how hard I pull. Guess I just need to try harder and plan to buy a replacement...

Look for a YouTube on the process. This is one of those things seeing million times easier than explaining.

Yes, of course I've done that. I've watched dozens. Everything I've found is for cars without the passenger airbag light (even the AP2), which is why I'm asking if mine is different in some way.
