Default Scan Gauge II OBD2 reader

Anybody have experience with the Scan Gauge II OBD2 reader. It is supposed to sample info from the OBD2 circuit and calculate MPG, GPH, velocity remaining fuel, etc. Any feedback regarding experience with this device will be appreciated.

Thank you

All these things do is estimate. They look at the figures your car puts out, and calculate MPG, etc. The ones I used, did work. I dont know if they were accurate, but they do take realtime readings.

These devices can poll the ECM for data and then make calculations based on that data. Speed, rpm, manifold pressure, air temp, and a bunch of other readings are available. But I've never seen fuel rate or fuel tank readings on my when using the PC-based OBDII unit I have so I doubt they are available.

Which means you won't be getting MPG or other fuel estimates, at least not on an S2000. Also bear in mind the OBD connection isn't very fast and if you're pulling 3 or 4 pieces of data you'll only get updates every 2 seconds or so. That's OK for long-term measurements but won't necessarily tell you accurate maximum speed or rpm as they could occur between captures.
