Scared to cut holes in my car!!?!
Am I crazy? I got all set to install my Infiniti Perfects when I just got all freaked out about cutting a hole in the door panel for the tweeter. I'm even afraid of taking off the A-pillar trim to see if there's enough room back there for the (very deep) tweeter. It's not that I don't think I can handle the job -- I just don't like the idea of disfiguring my car.
Sooo, what are people's thoughts about this? Is it insane to cut a hole in the door panel, as resale value will suffer? How much room is there in the "deepest" part behind the a-pillar trim? Am I just a pansie?

I have BA separates in my doors. I had no apprehension about cutting the door panel. I didn't buy this car as a work of art or an investment. I regularly track it and use it as my daily driver. I'm going to do whatever I want to the car that makes it more enjoyable to me. The stock speakers suck so upgrading them and adding an amp were requirements for me. So I say go for it and enjoy the improved sound quality.
That's why I'm getting a pair of Infinity perfects too... Let me know what happen sunchild. If only you were in the Big H town, TX, I would've loved to help you gut your door panel
I've done that on my tegs before, my Type R too.
Oh, btw, post pics of the install pls.
