should i get modifry SCV?
Well i made up my mine and am ready to order my headunit and modify, heres what i got:
Alpine iDA-X305
Modifry Wired Dash Control Interace
Modifry PNP Harness for Alpine
a few questions before i order though:
does everything look in order? im hooking this up before i get speakers to see how it sounds. And when everything arrives i will not have to splice any wires correct. i will just plug in the modifry into the stock wires adn into the back of the alpine for the interface and pnp harness?
also should i get the SCV? im not sure if it would be good??
Also i have a 80GB ipod color. im not sure which gen but its one of the ones where the first colors came out. just want to make sure this will work wiht this headunit!

Pretty sure the Speed Controlled Volume is a standard feature. It was with mine and I have a 2004 with an Alpine style infrared DCI for my CDA-9833. I'm pretty sure the separate SCV he sells is for the stock radio. You will need to splice the speed control wire under the passenger side dash.
