Anyone have any experience with Silencer Vehicle Immobilizers? I got one of these when I got MY05. Came with an auto disarming remote. My question is if this immobilizer is worth keeping? If so would it be possible to add an keyless entry remote?

 

if the dealer put it in then its not worth it, You can actually look under the dash and see the cut start wire that is split that will go to a relay.. I can remove that under 15 sec... If it was done professionally they might of tryed to hide the wires. But dealerships arent professional installers they just do it for money.

Now the big questions is why.... The car has a chipped key which is 100 times better starter disable because you either have to have the right key or you put a different ecu into it...

 

hmm... this sounds like a dealer installed basic alarm....

You might as well go for a full blown alarm if you plan to keep the car.
