Default small problem

i recently installed an ap2 center console into my 2003 removal and install were extremely easy just a tug on some clips and a quick disconnect on my switches.

Now the problem im having is both buttons are receiving power constantly because their lit up. But for some reason ill put my top down drive around park my car go to put my top up and the button wont work??? I'll pull 2 clips up on the center console on the elbow end of it and hit the button and it works. Re clip the console back down and the top will work fine up and down until i drive around and then try putting it back up again??

I pulled it all back off again check the wire and everything the connection to the button is firm its not even slightly loose and the wires are 100% fine i don't see anything wrong at all.

Put it all back together it works fine , drive around and try putting it back up it wont work unless i pull the back 2 clips up then hit it?

Does anyone know what the hell this could be? before i go buying a new button or anything has anyone had a similar problem at all?

sounds like the button might be grounding to something when you have the console clipped on.

either that or you're forgetting about the e-brake. lol
