Default Soft top controller problem

Hi everyone,

Recently my drivers window has been sticking so I took it to the dealer with no sucess.
Yesterday I noticed that when I went to put the top up there was a one second delay before it went up. this was not the case up until now.
I am wondering if maybe the dealer made it worse by messing with it.
Has any one had this problem before? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Exactly how is the driver's window sticking? Did it move an inch or two then quit? Was this behavior only when using auto-down or raising/lowering the top? If so, it's probably the motor/stall sensor problem a few of us have had. It seems to be worse with the engine running, and is also intermittent. This requires replacing the whole motor/regulator assembly to fix.

The delay on the top up sometimes happens on mine too, but it's been fine after a year and 30k miles, so I guess it's nothing serious. Although I'm not sure if mine is a whole second, maybe a half-second. I've also heard of someone having a bad ROOF switch.

Do a search on the subject and you'll find more info.

Thanks for your reply, the window problem is the same problem as many have reported on this forum. It goes down partly then sticks. It does this when the top goes down and when you try to use the auto down feature on the window control. They have ordered a part to try to fix it though it isn't the part that many have reported to be the correct fix.
The top was responding immediately when you hit the switch, now after the dealer has messed with it I notice the delay, maybe it is a fluke.
I don't have much faith in the Honda dealers, they do not know much about the S2000, they don't see enough of them. And when they take my car they keep it for days because the problem is a hassle to troubleshoot so they stick it the the back of the list. I hope someday there will be small shops that will specialize in the S2000 so there is a second option.

Thanks again.
