I have a system in my car, and the only place it rattles is the black shell that the soft top sits in when it is down. I have read some people have taken it completely out, but then it increases road noise.

Anyone do anything to that piece so it stopped rattling. I'm thinking about just putting some 2-way tape in between the plastic and where it is hitting the metal on the car.

some people have had luck cutting holes into the shelf, that way it gives a passage for the air, if you then cover the holes w some mesh or something, not really noticeable

another option is to wedge something around the outsides. that's what I tried until I eventually just removed everything.
