TBH i've NEVER heard of any design that made a ported box smaller ?? i mean you have port displacement for a start..
The bend in the port will help drop the port velocity noise though..
This box's internal size is 1 cubic foot, and the port is a 3" x 9". I had called Alpine about this and their tech's told me the correct size for the enclosure. So i drew up the plans and i just tested the size of the box and it is just right, just about 1 cubic foot. So a little poly-fill and we'll be good to go. The sealed box recommendation is about .55, so about a half a cubit foot. That

Here's a few new pictures:

I should have the rear section done tonight I hope or at least ready for paint. Then all I have to do is wire it all up.

Looking good!

Maybe when you finish your car, you can help me make some fiberglass parts.....

What are you planning on doind (running) the wires to the cap???

I though you were gonna install the cap upside down, so that you cant see the wiring.

You'll see, it stands up right next to one of the amps and the wiring for the most part will be hidden... I try to hide 95% of my wiring. You'll only see about 2" of wire coming off the cap.
