Just found these on my camera. They are the pics I took of when I soundproofed the car a few weeks ago.
I picked up some eDead V1SE2. I read all the reports, and honestly I wasnt looking for some ultra high performance deadener, just something thatll improve the sound from stock. I gave it a pretty thorough going over and the results are fantastic. The sound is much improved as well as a huge decrease in road noise.
Both doors received 2 layers of the material:
DRIVERS DOOR
PASSENGER DOOR
I removed all my carbon fiber panelling in the trunk and gave that the complete treatment too - two layers in the tool well, spare tire area and trunk compartment. As you can see, the lower well area had already had some dynamat done when I installed my sub box initially.
TOOLWELL
SPARE TIRE AREA
WHile I was at it, I also removed my CF panel from my trunklid and covered all of that area too.
TRUNKLID
The passenger compartment was also done underneath the carpets, but unfortunately I do not have pictures of that.
finally, to enhance the bass from the sub even more, I removed the convertible top tray and cut the center out of it - then I recovered it in sheer material. Sound quality is now 1000 times better.
CONVERTIBLE TRAY
All in all, its not a hard job, its just tedious - but the results totally outweigh the effort and $$$ incurred
good job, i just removed my tray since it rattled too much. i ran out of stuff and never put anythign on my trunk lid. I'm still a bit scared that here in fl it may get too hot and drip down. anyone have that happen yet?

I have done a test strip of Damplifier Pro which is a butyl based sound mat attached vertically on my muffler can ends and the butyl filler holds up under heat without melting.
You don't have anything to worry about on the inside of your trunk lid.
I'm in the process of doing the same to my car. Used the edead v1se2, one layer in trunk, tire well area, doors, floors (i took the seats & carpeting out). Then I followed it up with 2 layers of edead v3 which is a liquid sound dampener, then on top of that I put down a layer of closed cell acoustic foam. Will hopefully be done with the project in a couple weeks. can only work on it a couple hours after work and on weekends, but it's been raining quite a bit out here in CA, so haven't had much time to work on it lately.

The only problem is that he used edead v1, not the v1se2. v1 is asphalt based, whereas v1se2 is butyl based. Asphalt based matting has a lower melting point, so it can actually melt and fall off, butyl is the way to go. Just wanted to clear this up in case someone wanted a butyl based one instead of the asphalt based one. By the way, if you join the icixsound.com forum, you get 20% off the edead. So I paid 1.28 instead of 1.60 a sq ft.
