speaker for hip hop music
Oh, almost forgot to mention that most Focal speakers are too deep to fit in the S2K's door panels (windows will not roll down). You'll need to have a custom kit made to have them fit.
I guess that price is not bad, but they are only about $400-450 in stores, so it's not that much lower. Again, most Focal will not fit unless you have a custom kit for them.

thank Purple sky..no Focal for me then..what about the Kappaa?? will they fit without custom kit>??
i probably get the kappaa and amp them the fosgate for now.
do i need to amp the Kappaa or can i use the fosgate to amp the sub?? thinking about a 10 inch sub with the Lucid box.. the fosgate that i got is 200 watt so i have to get a sub no more than 200 watt right?

First of all, if you are not getting a sub, FORGET the kappas. They will do you no good for hip hop.
Their midbass is alright, but nothing down low.
Next, wanting hip hop with no sub is impossible. No matter what ANYONE says, you CANNOT reproduce hip hop frequencies on components. Thats like having classical music with no tweeters or mids. Just sub. Doesnt work. If you dont want a sub, dont waste money on speakers, as most components put out less bass than the stock hondas. The whole point of components it to limit the frequencies to the upper range, where 50% of hip hop music will not be heard. NO SUB, NO HIPPIDY HOPPY

I've heard some systems that only used midbass and tweeter that did really well for most music.
However, they used a wide-spectrum mid (i.e. Koda? MF?) and some sort of enclosure and lots of tweaking. Furthermore, for rap music and the sort of listening you're talking about, forget about it.

so 200 left..that mean i need to get a 200 watt max sub??
