Default Speaker Make / Models

Hi All,

Been doing a search and not really found a definitive guide to speaker model # installs (apologies to anyone if I missed it.)

With that in mind I thought I'd start a thread where people could add their specific speakers make and model number so newer members could help decide which ones to upgrade to.. (like me)

I've found one or two topics but most people seam to leave out the details... so here we go:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make / Model / Location / Review or Comment (optional)
--------------------------------------------------
Poke / EX2540 / Rear / na
Poke / 602 / Front / na
Kenwood / KFC-1077 Rear / na
Infinity / 452i 4.5 / Rear / na
Infinity / 652i 6.5" / Front / na
Alpine / SPX 137 / Rear / na

Please note:
Not all 4" speakers will drop in due to size restrictions. 4" speaker with
a magnet diameter of 3 1/16 or less will fit without cutting metal

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please don't just add the make 'Lucid / na / Front / na' for example as this makes it difficult for new members to look up the actual model used.

As I find speakers in threads I will add them, but if anyone else wants to help great!

Diamond Audio Hex S600s Will not fit OEM speaker basket at all, but fits inside the door without a spacer ring. Minor dremel work required to fit the tweeters.

JL Audio / ZR650-CSi / Front /

Remove oem baskets, cut new mounts from 1/2" MDF or ply. Outside profile same as OEM basket, inside circle is diameter of speaker basket. Be careful of concentricity to hole in the door, only about 1/4" total clearance between basket and door hole.

Tweets - use OEM mounting plate and JL's flush mount cups. Trim cups to fit between the mounting 'posts' for OEM tweets. This is for MY04; other years may vary.

Finally fitted:-

DLS / RS6 Slimline (DLS-RS6) / Front / No cutting, just new mounting plate, good base
DLS / C5A (DLS-C5A) / Rear / S-Pods Direct Fit.

The fronts needed 6 1/2 brackets which I got off ebay:-
