Default speaker options for stealth box

Did anyone look into installing another brand of speaker into the stealth box. My speaker is damaged and I want to replace it. The 10w3v2 is close to 200 bucks. I was just wondering if there were other options out there, or is this my best choice.

Also have another quick question about 2 channel amps. The car I bought came with a JL 300/2 channel amp bridged and wired to the sub. Is is that much different from a monoblock sub amp? I'm not sure if it's worth selling and looking for another amp.

Thank you.

Didn't the JL sound good enough? If it was just get another. Trying to save some money? You aren't going to find much that will sound as good in that box for less.

Your second is a trickier question than you think. Basically when you bridge an amp you are making it run mono so in a way they are similar. At the same time they are not and that comes down to your impedance load. In a nut shell with that sub you wont benefit from a new monoblock amp.

Thanks for the reply C13. THe answer to the amp question was what I was hoping to hear. I had talked to a stereo shop a while back and he told me it would make a huge difference. I was hoping he said that just to sell me another amp.

Thanks
