Default Speaker relocation options...

Has anyone relocated the speakers in our car? I find even aside from the fact that the stock system sucks and the car is loud to ride in, the placement of the speakers is very poor -- my leg pretty much covers up the driver side speaker entirely. If I move my leg while there's music playing, there is a very audible difference.

I made custom door pods and bought the speakers outside the door panel in pointed them up a little bit.

But honestly everyone here will agree that the stock system blows... However if you replace the stock equipment with good gear, even in the stock locations the sound is vastly improved.

Once again I'm impressed by your work

Are you sure the stock location for the door speakers is fine though?? My left leg almost completely covers the speaker when I'm driving.

Next Summer or Fall I anticipate I'll be sending you my door panels, A pillars, and a set of 3-ways for some custom work.

Well it requires a lot of custom work to move them down into the kick panels... a LOT. So for most people leaving them in the door is the way to go.
But like I said before just getting good gear will really go a long way.

Let me know what you have in mind for your doors via PM. What speakers and so on. And we'll talk about it.

It's a ways off (back in school until next Summer) so I won't waste your time until I have the money. Thanks though.
