Default speaker "run-in"

I have read that the tone from new speakers changes during the first couple of weeks of use as they "break-in" Is this true? If so, how does it change?

For most speakers that is true. They will begin to sound better. As an example, Alphasonik speakers need about 24 hours actual of run time to break in.
