and remember to coat the mdf so its waterproof/dampproof

 

i was able to get my infinity door speakers in by cutting the stock baskets and didnt have to use spacers at all. i just heated up the underside of the factory plastic speaker bucket up with a heat gun and then used a regular kitchen knife to cut the bottom off so the speaker could sit farther into the door. no problems with them hitting the windows when they are rolled down either
