Default Focal speakers

I know it is covered often about the spacer issue / door depth.

Just wondering if anyone has fitted these successfully as I think they are quite deep for a set of 6.5" speakers...

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/8729.html

think they are supposed to be 70mm deep...

Any help would be great, thanks.

I have some Focal PS165's which are 67MM deep. No issues clearance issues with some 18mm MDF spacers. There was still room so I'm sure you'll be fine.

I made them.

Cut out the correct size holes for your speakers in some 18mm MDF, then place the OEM plastic spacer into the hole and centre, trace round the outside and cut out. Took me about 45 minutes. You'll need a drill and a jigsaw.

My focals have some 22mm spacers with no issues. Can't remember the model but it's in my Sig! There's about 10mm clearance from the glass when the window is lowered.

Hmmm, don't have a jigsaw, will probably just try to buy some from somewhere, thanks for the help.

I'm replacing mine because they've soaked up some moisture. Found some on eBay for less than a fiver for the pair. Search for mdf rings or speaker rings.

I just fitted a set of these really good speakers, had to make some MDF brackets up as well but worth it.
