ok so ive had this problem with every speaker ive put into my s2k the speakers just wont fit, ive tried brackets which dont work ive tried using different speakers, does anyone make a speaker bracket that will let aftermartket speakers fit our car?

 

You can make pretty much any speaker fit, provided it is 5.25" or 6.5"... just get out your jigsaw and cut a speaker bracket out of 1/2" MDF board. Voila.

Edit: Oh yeah, and ditch the stock brackets... either that or cut out the plastic back and try them first before you make your own.

 

cut the door, its not a big deal. cut the door and add a 3/4" MDF speaker ring to mount the speaker to.

my 6.5" peerless HDS woofers needed the door to be cut even with a 3/4" mdf spacer. i also had to then remove the plastic window stop (the white plastic round piece that screws to the glass) shave it down and re install it so that it wouldn't hit the magnet.
