Default spod suggestions

how many of you guys are running with spods and with what type of speakers? i have polk components in the front with 2 eight inch subs. i have been tinkering with my system config for quite some time but i still get a lot of treble. it starts to hurt my head somtimes and i want more midrange from my speakers. Sort of like when you are in a luxury vehicle.. the sound is nice and crisp but not too much of the highs. THanks in advance

I have kenwood excellons in my S-Pods. The speakers sound good, but were a PITA to fit. Kenwood uses a different mounting flange. I would avoid them for S-pods.

Have you tried turning down your tweeters?

Your crossover should be adjustable. My MB quarts can be set to 0, 3, or 6 dB down. The install guide says put them on 6 but I have them on 3 as 6 was way too loud. Otherwise play with your EQ.

Did you get a chance to turn down the tweeters/did it work for you? If not, I have experience with 3 different speaker set-ups in S-Pods.

I think you'll be happy with components matched front & back. Whatever brand you choose. I'm happy with my Crystals, and I've heard Alpine R's also...they're awesome.
