I don't want to take out my '00 s2k radio just to find out which connector I need to buy.

Is it a square or round m-bus connector on the back of the stock '00 s2k radio (to connect an aftermarket changer)?

I believe the square one requires the HONIO adapter and the other requires the ACUALP adapter.

Any insight?

2002 radio has a 14 pin rectangular connector. Don't know if that's any use to you, since they did update it somewhat.

The folks at Sound Domain said that the Peripheral/AAMP manufacturer of HONIL CD adapter works with the Alpine S630. That's for my 2002 S2k, drop them an E mail and see what they have to say about your 2000 S2K. The site is www.sounddomain.com
